Time change has an affect on all of us. Specifically, time change is most strenuous on those who have dementia, Alzheimer’s or other cognitive impairments. How?

– Mood changes and frustration
– Increased confusion
– Increased risk of falling and heart illness
– Change in body chemicals = change in routine = change in health and well-being

One of the best ways to help seniors adapt to time change is by maintaining a proper routine and having a good sleep cycle. Time change adds complications to seniors’ health, but by making proper alterations to suit a regular routine and receiving the adequate amount of sleep, this should help ease the process of transitioning.
